Who?

SABRE is the story of Francis Gelb, born into a family of goldsmiths. Carried by respect and unlimited passion for the craft trades, he worked with his family before creating his own House of Cutlery in Paris in 1993: SABRE - from the name of the first cutlery developed by the brand. A name that also describes his project: cut through the monotony of tableware, combining, for the first time, craftsmanship and freedom with colours, shapes and materials.

SABRE is also a love story. That of Francis Gelb and his wife and partner, Pascale. From this communion to the summit, constantly nourished by travels, encounters, legends, colours, “the Sabre soul” was born: a nomadic and friendly spirit, a sense of sharing and natural elegance.

The duo is working at full capacity and the charm is having its effect: SABRE is at all the trade shows and big fairs, the shops and corners are multiplying, the international market is opening its doors. Soon, the creation of never-before-seen porcelainware is going to offer a new answer for place settings, thereby transforming tableware arts into a true lifestyle.

Who?

What?

SABRE is the result of a true conviction: marry utility and pleasure, tradition and the avant-garde, control and freedom. Thus, each place setting is the sum of traditional know-how and unprecedented artistic freedom.

By infusing colour and motley patterns into tableware, SABRE creates as many sources of inspiration and emotion. Starting with what is held in the palm of the hand: cutlery. Gone are the days when we kept the “nice” cutlery for special occasions and the boring flatware for every day. Enjoy yourself every day, at all ages and for all occasions! Livened up with colour, your cutlery radiates light and, in a sensible and intuitive way, a good mood, a delightful joy, both discreet and essential.

Each SABRE cutlery model offers a wide choice of colours and complementary accessories. You will find the basics: table fork, table knife, table spoon and teaspoon, which you can complete. Each model comes in forty-one items to meet a particular need, salad service, cheese knife, butter knife and many more!

How?

Our cutlery is made from quality materials to satisfy you every day. The blades are made in France in a stainless-steel and carbon alloy, absolutely necessary for the cutting capacity of our knife blades.

The cutlery handles are made of acrylic, stained in the mass, the highest quality plastic materials. Your cutlery will stay bright and not darken over time. The handles of our acrylic cutlery are handcrafted and not moulded, to ensure smoothness, ergonomics and aesthetics.

Our tableware collections are made of high-quality porcelain, and are safe in the dishwasher or microwave. We do not recommend the use of an abrasive sponge or very strong detergents.

With our porcelain tableware collections, it's the power of colour that comes to your home. Bold shades, pastels or, on the contrary, darker colours to dress your tables with modernity and freshness.

Play with shapes and colours, even create your own setting. Large plate, dessert plate, hollow plate, mug, cup, salad bowl, espresso cup with plate, so many possibilities to create the table that suits you!
